Connecting the world of research with that of business. This is the goal of the programmatic manifesto, Connecting Minds, which was created after a day of meetings at LIUC – Università Cattaneo, attended by organizations such as Vibram, Pernod Ricard, P&G Alumni, TapMyLife, Solventum, ATS Valpadana, Lati, and Efeso. This opportunity arose from the collaboration between the Doctoral School and LIUC Alumni.

ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII received the award for the project “Indoor Tracking of Electromedical Devices,” a new real-time digital localization system for the hospital’s technological equipment. This system enables real-time monitoring of the distribution of technology within the facility. The tracking covers approximately 3,000 devices and pieces of equipment out of a total of 17,000 installed devices.

Easy Hospital: The New App Streamlining Access to Healthcare Services at Policlinico Sant’Orsola

Easy Hospital is the latest app developed by Engineering, a leader in digital process solutions for businesses and public administrations, designed to streamline access to healthcare services within the Policlinico Sant’Orsola complex in Bologna.

Created in collaboration with the Policlinico, the Emilia-Romagna Region, and the technology partner Tap My Life, the solution integrates digital services (such as CUP, queue elimination, and payments) to create seamless, hybrid experiences that bridge the digital and physical environments (such as kiosks, waiting areas, and clinics) where services are provided.

The Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital Launches Real-Time Digital Tracking for Patients and Equipment

It allows for real-time digital monitoring of patient entries and exits along the route between departments and operating rooms, as well as the intra-hospital movements of key mobile medical and IT equipment. Patients are automatically tracked throughout their intra-hospital journey using a new network of wired antennas. Approximately 3,000 devices and pieces of equipment are equipped with a special “tag” that is tracked by these antennas and others installed at strategic points throughout the hospital, all utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology.

At the Giglio of Cefalù, an electronic bracelet monitors patients

An electronic bracelet equipped with a Bluetooth sensor—developed by the company TapMyLife of Bergamo—will be placed on the wrist of all patients in the surgical areas of the Giglio Foundation in Cefalù to monitor clinical pathways and timings from the ward to the operating room and back to the ward.
