TAPMYLIFE & ALZHEIMER ASSOCIATION TO STOP EMERGENCY ROOM EXITS

TapMyLife has decided to support the Alzheimer Friends Association OdV by contributing to a pilot project and a fundraising campaign aimed at acquiring a system to secure hospital facilities and prevent the risk of vulnerable patients fleeing from emergency departments.

Every year, several fragile individuals disappear from emergency rooms and psychiatric wards. These individuals suffer from cognitive deficits or psychiatric disorders. When they leave these facilities in a confused state and without the necessary care, they are unfortunately at risk of death.

TapMyLife has always been sensitive to this issue, advocating for patient safety systems and the abandonment of physical restraints. We have chosen to contribute by becoming a sponsor and partner of this project, which represents a commitment to civilization.

No more disappearances from hospitals!

International Nurses Day: Are We Protecting the ‘Backbone’ of the Healthcare System?

Are we adequately protecting nurses, the “backbone” of the healthcare system? Reviewing data on assaults against healthcare staff suggests that we are not. To tackle this issue, it is essential to implement tailored solutions designed and applied “on the ground.”

The TapMyLife Emergency Department and Staff Safety module focuses on key aspects that create critical issues in the ER through an advanced dedicated platform: flow monitoring, stretcher tracking, staff safety, and communication with relatives. Data collected over years of activity demonstrate that the introduction of security and tracking systems in Emergency Departments leads to greater department efficiency and a significant increase in safety standards for staff.

Tunnels, Subways, Galleries, Mines: With TapMyLife, “Underground” Localization Is No Longer a Problem

How to Ensure Safety, Localization, and Traceability in Critical Underground Areas
How can we ensure safety, localization, and traceability in critical underground areas where external signals can’t reach? This scenario is more common than one might think. An example? The safety of operators (or visitors) and machinery in tunnels, underground sites, construction sites, mines, and subways.

In essence, in all these potentially extremely “critical” locations, precise real-time tracking of machinery, operators (or even visitors) can significantly impact the effectiveness and safety of the entire workflow.

In these cases, the presence of a TapMyLife real-time localization system for machinery and operators becomes an integral part of the prevention, monitoring, and assistance system, improving plant efficiency and, most importantly, preventing adverse events.

TAPMYLIFE AT AICC 2023: EHEALTH AND ACCESSIBILITY AS A SOCIAL CHALLENGE

The Conference of the Italian Association of Clinical Engineers will be held in Florence from May 10th to 13th, a leading event dedicated to HealthCare technologies, in which TapMyLife is proud to participate (we will be at stand 41), on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the event. In just a few days, the top specialists in the sector will discuss topics related to the efficiency of the Italian healthcare system, sharing experiences, best practices, and implemented solutions to immediately enhance the growth and efficiency of the healthcare sector. In this context, TapMyLife could not miss this event, and we are proud to be part of it.

EMERGENCY “BOARDING” IN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS: THE ANSWER LIES IN IMPROVING STRETCHER EFFICIENCY

With the TapMyLife ED Stretcher Management solution, emergency department operators have access to a tool that provides real-time information on the location of stretchers (and wheelchairs), including valuable details on where they are and, most importantly, whether they are truly occupied at that moment. On the other hand, the control room has access to the actual usage index of each asset, allowing it to determine, based on real, historical, and certified data, the actual needs for aids in the individual emergency department, with the certainty that the entire fleet of stretchers will be visible on a map and utilized to 100%.

Solutions for Preventing Attacks on Healthcare Staff: Localization and Timeliness Through Digital Technology

The problem of assaults on healthcare workers has become a widespread issue that our medical professionals must confront daily. To address this emergency, TapMyLife has developed a real-time localization system for patients and staff experiencing episodes of aggression, capable of sending an immediate alarm signal to a designated control room. March 12th was celebrated as the Day Against Violence Towards Healthcare and Social Health Workers. We use the most advanced tools to ensure timely intervention and the personal safety of those who fight daily for our health.

WITH TAPMYLIFE, AN ‘AIRPORT ANGEL’ FOR PASSENGERS AND AIRPORT STAFF

Being greeted with a welcome message in your own language upon entering the airport area and being guided and informed step by step by a proximity navigator directly on your smartphone to quickly reach check-in, security, boarding, and services. Some might call it a ‘lofty flight,’ but this is exactly what TapMyLife has achieved with their solution dedicated to airport facilities.

IoT for Monitoring Hospital Refrigerator Temperatures and During Transport

TapMyLife’s temperature monitoring platform highlights the location of refrigerators on the facility’s floor plan via a dashboard, enabling quick identification of any device in alarm. The same platform monitors all refrigeration devices within the healthcare facility and across various local sites, with direct alerts sent to staff based on the location of the monitored refrigerator or the time of day. This system combines safety and ease of management by integrating the temperatures recorded by all connected refrigerators inside and outside the hospital into a single solution.

Healthcare Transport Management? With TapMyLife, automatic time tracking and monitoring from the ambulance to the department

Born from the success of the computerized patient transport request management module within hospital facilities, the transport management system has been enhanced with an integrated solution that extends its use from the moment the patient is taken in charge by ambulance healthcare operators. It was particularly important for TapMyLife to “close the loop” of automation in monitoring and managing the transport system by also integrating extra-hospital transport, as this is where the delicate process of patient handover begins, with direct implications for the efficiency of the healthcare transport process.

Navigation, Services, and Accessibility with ‘My Campus’: The TapMyLife Solution for Universities

TapMyLife’s indoor and outdoor navigation technology effectively and dynamically integrates traditional signage in universities, offering multi-language support for foreign users and paying special attention to accessibility for individuals with disabilities. MyCampus also serves as an active tool for recognizing users within classrooms to certify their presence: this information can be fully automated based on the academic schedule and made available to third-party IT solutions. In case of emergencies, the panic button allows for the activation of a geolocated alarm for prompt intervention.
